Homeless Service Senior Support Worker
Location Ashkirk Homeless Unit, Sunderland
Salary: £31,037 per annum.
Hours: Full Time, 37hrs per week, Monday to Saturday
Contract: Permanent
Closing Date: 5PM on Monday 11th August 2025.
If you are an enthusiastic and experienced housing professional passionate about delivering excellent housing related support services to families at risk of homelessness then our Homeless Service Senior Support Worker is the role for you.
Role Benefits:
28 days annual leave (plus bank holidays) for full time employees; pro-rata to part time employees.

About the Homeless Service Senior Support Worker role
This role will involve:
Providing direction and leadership within your team to deliver excellent, consistent and responsive housing related support services to families at risk of homelessness in accordance with Bernicia policy and procedure.
Ensure services are delivered in accordance with agreed standards, budgets, policies and procedures and targets.
Your Experience:
Successful candidates will need:
Essential:
Full current driving licence and have access to a car for business use
Good standard of general education
Experience of leading, managing and supporting a team
Demonstrable experience of safeguarding practice
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal
Desirable:
Experience of support planning and key working
Demonstrable experience of working in a housing related support service
Advanced IT skills
