About You:
Are you passionate about inspiring young people and helping them build a brighter future? We are seeking a dedicated Childcare Tutor to join our dynamic team. If you have experience in teaching, a knack for engaging learners, and the drive to make a real difference, this role is perfect for you!
As our new Childcare Tutor, you will be a confident communicator with excellent rapport-building skills. You will be highly organised, demonstrate strong planning and time-management abilities, and be supported by solid IT proficiency. Most importantly, you will have a passion for education and the motivation to help young learners in their personal and professional development.
To excel in this role, you will need:
- PGCE, Teaching Qualification or equivalent
- A qualification to a minimum of Level 3 in your vocational specialist subject.
- Experience of teaching Maths and English up to Level 2.
- The ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively and resolve conflicts professionally.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
About the Role:
As a Childcare Study Programme Tutor, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality learning experiences that motivate and engage young people. Due to the expansion of our provision and the launch of a second site, we have an exciting full-time opportunity at our new centre in West Bromwich.
You will be responsible for:
- Managing and delivering diverse learning opportunities from initial interview and assessment through to course completion and accreditation.
- Teaching across a range of qualification types and levels, from entry-level to Level 2, ensuring learners gain valuable industry knowledge and skills.
- Delivering practical learning experiences that build employability, social skills, and support learners in achieving qualifications in English and Maths up to GCSE level.
- Upholding the highest standards of teaching as outlined in the Education Inspection Framework.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A strong sense of purpose and passion for teaching and training.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a wider team.
- Excellent organisational skills, initiative, and the ability to meet deadlines.

Safeguarding responsibilities: This role will involve daily contact with learners, and you will be engaging in regulated activity relevant to children. All staff have a responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people, and/or vulnerable adults for whom you are responsible and with whom you come into contact. The Charity’s Safeguarding Policy is available from Central YMCA website.
Any offer of employment will be subject to successfully completing pre-employment checks, including an enhanced DBS disclosure, teacher prohibition check, the receipt of satisfactory references, overseas check (if applicable), relevant original ID documentation and examination certificates.
