Project Commercial Manager responsibilities:
Ensure the effective implementation of the Business Management System (BMS) throughout all stages of project delivery, from tender handover to final completion.
Safeguard the company's reputation on projects by fostering and maintaining strong relationships with joint venture partners and suppliers.
Ensure adequately trained personnel are assigned to the project and clearly understand their individual responsibilities.
Planning projects, including reviewing and approving the Project Execution Plan (PEP), and then monitoring and controlling the delivery of projects
Ensure that comprehensive construction plans and method statements are prepared, approved, and in place before any activities commence.
Ensure all commercial aspects of the project are managed proactively and on time, providing accurate forecasts and estimates.
Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and practical experience in managing projects from initial concept to final end-user acceptance.
Take responsibility for your own continuous professional development by engaging in external networking, conferences, associations, or groups to remain up to date with industry developments and innovations.
Carry out any other duties, training, or working hours as may reasonably be required, in line with the overall responsibilities of the role.
Project Commercial Manager requirements:
Project Management experience in managing multi-disciplinary design and construction projects, ideally within the water industry.
Degree or equivalent qualification in a construction, commercial, or engineering related discipline.
Project Management Qualification (PMQ)or equivalent
Excellent oral and written communicator with the ability to work in close partnership with clients, stakeholders, and end users.
Must be delivery driven with the ability to set targets and manage and motivate multi-disciplinary teams to deliver to time, cost and quality objectives.
Extensive experience in project delivery
Strategic, operational, technical and management skills
Knowledge of Construction Contracts, ideally NEC and/or IChemE, with ability to negotiate and administer
Risk & Opportunity Management experience
Working knowledge of CDM and construction Health & Safety
