Caseworker - National Triage and Allocation Team – Role Overview

The Valuation Office Agency are actively seeking for enthusiastic and driven individuals to work within the National Triage and Allocation Team (NTAT), part of the wider Chief Operating Officer Group.

As a NTAT Caseworker you will be examining complex information and undertake detailed analysis to make accurate and informed decisions. The role involves being responsible for triaging Challenge cases for lawfulness and completeness, evidence reviews on Check cases and supporting the delivery of volumes and timeliness measures, helping to improve the customer Check, Challenge and Appeal (CCA) journey.

Our caseworkers understand and apply technology to achieve efficient and effective business and personal results. The successful candidate will take initiative and suggest ideas for business improvements, developing networks and to share feedback with others in a constructive manner.

Caseworker - National Triage and Allocation Team – Key responsibilities

  • Using your research and analytical skills to interpret information and make judgements to make evidence-based decisions on a range of cases across the business area.
  • Working within current legislation and organisational policy and guidelines.
  • Researching data and collate information to formulate a decision regarding rating casework and be accountable for any decisions made.
  • Build relationships by working closely with other Property Caseworkers, Researchers and Inspectors and wider teams within the Valuation Office.
  • Direct contact with ratepayers/taxpayers and agents by phone or email.
  • Inputting and downloading of data into our computer systems.
  • Have good horizon scanning and organisational skills and the ability to identify risks to own and team performance.
