With a focus on providing high-quality administrative support, the post-holder will need to be highly organised, be able to work independently and have great attention to detail. Good standards of IT literacy with excellent written and verbal communication skills are fundamental. Candidates should have experience of working in an administration environment, ideally within a healthcare setting, although consideration will be given to those where transferrable skills can be demonstrated. This is a key role supporting the day-to-day operations of the practice, ensuring high standards of service delivery and patient care. The post-holder will also be required to provide cover within the reception team as directed by the management team. Full training on this will be provided. Main duties of the job: Responsible for a wide range of administrative duties Support data quality initiatives, recall systems, audits, Quality and Outcomes Framework and enhanced service reporting Submit monthly and quarterly reports to relevant NHS organisations for payment Provide administrative support to the GP Partners Contribute to the continuous improvement of administrative processes and practice efficiency Act as a first point of contact for technical issues and liaise with IT support providers as needed Ensure practice policy and standards compliance Essential: Have a commitment to supporting the delivery of excellent patient care with vision, willingness and drive Strong understanding of clinical system(s) used in GP practices Excellent IT and digital literacy Experience in an administrative or coordination role in a healthcare or similar environment Strong attention to detail, particularly in managing data and reports Excellent organisational, problem-solving and communication skills Confidence with data reporting, spreadsheets and troubleshooting Ability to work independently and as part of a team Desirable: Previous experience in a primary care or NHS setting Knowledge of EMIS Web Knowledge of QOF, enhanced services and clinical coding
