Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor
Job Purpose:
The Forklift Driver is responsible for operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment to load, unload, move, and store goods and materials in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate forklifts to load and unload trucks, move pallets, and stack materials.
Transport goods around the warehouse or site safely and accurately.
Ensure the accurate receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
Carry out daily equipment checks and report any faults or maintenance issues.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Follow health and safety procedures and site rules at all times.
Assist with general warehouse duties when required (e.g. picking, packing, stocktaking).
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid forklift license (Counterbalance, Reach Truck, or both depending on site needs).
Previous experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or industrial setting preferred.
Good understanding of warehouse operations and safety protocols.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
Good communication skills.
Physically fit and able to lift/move heavy items as required.
Working Conditions:
Shift work may be required, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, or nights.
Working in a warehouse or outdoor environment which may be hot, cold, or noisy.
