Summary

Our client is looking for a motivated and detail-driven Assistant Management Accountant to support the delivery of timely and accurate financial reporting. This role plays a key part in month-end processes, forecasting, and budgeting, helping ensure financial data supports decision-making across the business.

Key Responsibilities of Assistant Management Accountant

- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Perform journal entries, accruals, and prepayments
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis
- Support budgeting and forecasting cycles with relevant data and insights
- Assist with cost analysis and reporting on key financial performance indicators
- Liaise with internal departments to gather financial inputs
- Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with internal policies and external regulations
- Support year-end audit processes and liaise with external auditors
- Continuously improve reporting tools and systems for efficiency and accuracy
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis as required by the Finance Manager

Skills & Qualifications

- Part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
- Solid understanding of management accounting principles
- Strong Excel skills; experience with financial systems
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking
- Effective communicator with the ability to explain financial information clearly
- Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement
