About the role
We are seeking a dynamic and inspiring English Teacher to join a high-performing secondary school in Leeds. The role begins in September 2025 and is full-time, delivering English Language and Literature across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with opportunities for Key Stage 5 for the right candidate.

Essential Requirements- A qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent)
- Up-to-date knowledge of the English National Curriculum
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across KS3-KS4
- Support exam preparation, including GCSE revision and interventions
- Differentiate materials to suit diverse learning needs
- Use data effectively to track progress and plan interventions
- Provide detailed feedback to students in line with school policy
- Participate in departmental meetings and CPD
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
- Promote literacy across the curriculum
- Set and monitor homework assignments
- Keep records of attendance and assessment
- Participate in open evenings and parent events
