Would you like to be part of our amazing team? Come and join us!Thorpe CofE Primary School seeks an experienced KS2 Teaching Assistant to provide support in Year Three Class for 13 hours each week. The hours of work are Monday, Thursday and Friday from 8.40am to 1.15pm with a 15 minute unpaid morning break. This is a term time only contract commencing September 2025. Under the direction and supervision of the class teacher core responsibilities include:
Working as an TA in Year Three ClassFollowing the instructions of the class teacherPlanning and prioritising tasks Clarifying and explaining instructions Communicating effectivelyMotivating pupils to learn Organising the learning environment Key Accountabilities will be: Assisting in the delivery of day to day learning activities Discussing with and reporting back to teacher on the planning and assessment of the pupil’s work Organising and maintaining the learning environment Working as part of a team Maintaining confidentiality inside and outside the workplace Understanding and applying school policiesThe TA may be required to undertake any other reasonable tasks as required by the class teacherWe offer a lovely setting, excellent facilities and resources, supportive colleagues and enthusiastic children. The school has close links to the community and local church and our parent community is extremely supportive. Successful applicants must be able to support the distinctive Christian ethos of our school but do not have to be a practising Christian.Benefits include term time only working, free parking, membership of the Surrey Pension Scheme, access to the Employee Assistance Program and Occupational Health Support as required.
