Job Title: Administration Assistant Level 1 - Receptionist
Actual Annual Salary: £13,508 - £14,723 (Based on hours and working weeks)
Full Time Equivalent Salary: £25,941 - £28,275 (CLF Grade B)
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Part-time, 22.5 hours per week Term Time Only (plus INSET Days)
Additional role info: 4.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday (22.5 hours per week). The preferred hours are 7.45-12.15. However, we are open to flexible working arrangements in conjunction with afternoon receptionist.
Provisional Start Date: October 2025 or sooner if possible.

We are looking for a Part-Time Receptionist with a warm, professional manner and a passion for supporting young people and their families. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of our front-of-house operations, providing a welcoming and efficient reception service and supporting the wider administrative team.
Working 22.5 hours per week, term time only (plus INSET Days), you’ll be the first point of contact for visitors, students, and staff—helping to create a positive and safe environment for all.
About you:
You will:
Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage warmly and professionally with students, staff, parents, and visitors.
Be confident using IT systems, including Microsoft Office and email, and ideally have experience with school management systems such as Bromcom.
Be highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.
Demonstrate empathy, patience, and a calm approach when dealing with sensitive situations or safeguarding matters.
Be committed to confidentiality, safeguarding, and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Be flexible, reliable, and enthusiastic about working in a school setting.
What you’ll be doing:
Welcoming visitors, managing sign-in procedures, and ensuring safeguarding protocols are followed.
Answering telephone and email enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
Supporting students and staff with day-to-day administrative needs.
Maintaining accurate records and supporting with data entry and reporting.
Assisting with general office duties such as photocopying, filing, and ordering supplies.
