Senior Residential Support Worker – Children’s Residential Home
Location: Syston, LE7
Salary: £35,000 to £39,000 per annum
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Social Care and Education are looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Residential Support Worker to join a new children’s residential home in Syston, LE7, supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled support worker ready to take on more responsibility and play a key leadership role within a supportive, child-focused team.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide high-quality care and emotional support to children and young people in a residential setting
• Support and mentor junior team members, helping to maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing environment
• Lead shifts and contribute to the smooth daily running of the home
• Assist in the development and implementation of individual care plans
• Promote positive routines, relationships, and therapeutic approaches
• Ensure safeguarding and health and safety procedures are followed at all times
Requirements
• 1 to 2 years of experience working in a children’s residential care setting
• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent qualification)
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• A proactive and hands-on approach, with a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable children
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently when needed
• Enhanced DBS and right to work in the UK
• Full UK driving licence preferred
