Senior Accounts Assistant with AAT Level 3 or above (or equivalent), previous experience in an accounting / finance / VAT role within an accountancy practice and a client-focussed approach is required for a well-established accountants based in Saltash, Cornwall.
SALARY: £25,000 - £28,000 per annum (depending in experience and qualifications) + Benefits (see below)
LOCATION: Saltash, Cornwall (PL12), it is also possible to be based in Newton Abbot, Devon (TQ12) – Fully Office Based
JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent
WORKING HOURS: 9.00am – 5.00pm, Monday to Friday - with the option to alter your hours to work extra Monday to Thursday and finish at 2.00pm on a Friday

JOB OVERVIEW
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Senior Accounts Assistant with AAT Level 3 or above (or equivalent), previous experience in an accounting / finance / VAT role within an accountancy practice and a client-focussed approach.
In this client facing role as the Senior Accounts Assistant, you will be involved in a variety of duties to help support the finance function of the company’s clients, helping you to gain a much broader deeper understanding of how to support modern businesses.
From day one, as the Senior Accounts Assistant you will get to work with some of the UK’s most exciting, and fastest-growing businesses as part of an outsourced finance function.
DUTIES
Typical daily activities as the Senior Accounts Assistant include:
• Preparation of Limited Company Accounts
• Preparation Tax Returns
• Reviewing work of more junior team members
• Preparation and First Review of VAT Returns
• Preparation of Management Accounts

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
• Previous experience in a practice environment
• AAT Level 3 or above / or equivalent
• Have a positive ‘can do’ mindset
• You are looking to enhance your career in Accountancy
• Are curious and eager to continually learn and develop new skills
• You are excited at the prospect of building relationships and being able to communicate daily with clients so that you have a deep understanding of them and their business to create the best working partnership
• Are able to multitask with self-organisational skills and a great attention to detail
• Experience of working on Xero and Dext is a plus but not necessary
