Do you have a passion for digital innovation and a talent for inspiring others to succeed in tech?
Lift Schools is seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Digital and IT Apprenticeship Trainer to join our team on a two-year fixed-term basis. In this exciting role, you'll play a key part in delivering the Digital and IT Standard Apprenticeship, equipping learners with the essential skills and confidence to thrive in today's fast-paced digital world.
Looking to go further in the apprenticeship sector?
Lift Schools are an established provider of apprenticeships for the education sector (Ofsted GOOD with Outstanding features, May 2024). Our curriculum intent is to prepare school support staff with the knowledge, skills and understanding they need to thrive in often under-recognised roles. In so doing, we ensure our apprentices maximise the impact they can have on schools, pupils and their own life choices.
As an Apprenticeships Trainer, you will work with Lift Schools and external employers to deliver our existing IT Solution Technician and the forthcoming Digital and AI Champion apprenticeship. There is also the opportunity to work on other programmes such as our Operations Manager, Business Admin, IT and Coaching programmes depending on applicant qualifications and experience.
You will deliver individual Apprenticeship programmes, including induction, planning, delivery, teaching, learning and assessment. In addition, you will conduct 10 weekly reviews with the learner and employer, to ensure learners progress in line with their training plan. That progress is recorded on the e-portfolio system. You will develop learner's knowledge, skills and behaviours in readiness for the End Point Assessment and/or ensure timely achievement of qualifications.
Skills and experience we would welcome:
- Relevant Qualifications or equivalent experience - Minimum of Level 3 qualification or proven work history in a digital or IT role and GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade 4 or above.
- Experience in Education - Proven experience working within an educational or training environment.
- Knowledge of Apprenticeship Standards - Understanding of apprenticeship delivery, End-Point Assessment, and awarding organisation processes.
- Assessment and Training Competency - Possession of (or working towards) an assessor qualification such as TAQA, CAVA, or equivalent.
- Digital Literacy - Confident use of IT, particularly Google Workspace and digital learning platforms
- Target-Driven and Organised - Demonstrated ability to manage workload effectively and meet performance targets.
- Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills - Able to engage and motivate learners, and build positive working relationships.
- Professionalism and Integrity - High standards of conduct, with a flexible, enthusiastic, and learner-focused approach.
