Assistant Estimator & Administrator | Strood | Full Time | Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm | £25,000 – £28,000 (depending on experience)

Our client, established in 1998, is a leading specialist in the design and installation of high-end windows, doors, and conservatories across both the commercial and residential sectors. As they continue to grow, they are looking to strengthen their team with a detail-driven, commercially-minded Estimator who is also comfortable supporting administrative functions and providing occasional assistance in their warehouse operations.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with experience in estimating within the construction, glazing, or home improvement industry. You will play a key role in pricing and preparing quotations for installation projects, liaising with suppliers and clients, and supporting the commercial side of the business.

In addition to your estimating duties, you will also provide administrative support to the wider operations team and be willing to assist in the warehouse on occasion, such as helping with goods in/out, order checking, or basic stock handling.

This role requires a methodical approach, strong numerical and organisational skills, and the ability to manage a varied workload across office and operational tasks.

• Good administrative and organisational abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Effective and professional communicator with clients and suppliers
• Flexible and willing to support additional business functions when required
• Able to manage a varied workload in a dynamic environment

What will your role look like?

• Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial and domestic installation projects
• Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to gather necessary pricing and technical information
• Review tender documents and customer specifications
• Support the booking and scheduling of installation work where needed
• Assist the Operations Team with commercial admin, document handling, and client communications
• Maintain and update the pricing database and job tracking systems
• Provide occasional warehouse cover, including basic order checking and inventory support
• Ensure all proposals meet relevant compliance and warranty requirements
