We are currently recruiting for a Domestic Assistant to join our team.
Overall Purpose of the Post
Work is on a rota basis to include some weekends, Bank Holidays.
Work involves some manual handling tasks, moving stock, un-packing items.
Responsible to the Manager or Officer on duty for the general cleanliness of the kitchen and dining room.
Assisting the cook in the preparation of meals, for example; washing, preparing vegetables, making sandwiches, hot drinks and light snacks.
Laying tables for mealtimes and general assistance during mealtimes.
Clearing tables after meals, washing crockery, cutlery, pots and pans, kitchen utensils.

Probation
In line with the Council’s Probation Procedure, certain positions may be subject to a six-month probationary period. This requirement does not apply to internal vacancies.
