The Role:
The Lancashire Industrial Fire Training Centre (LIFT), part of the Fleetwood Nautical Campus at Blackpool and The Fylde College (B&FC), is looking for a motivated and experienced Fire Trainer to join our Offshore Team. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver specialist fire training for Maritime, Oil & Gas, Industrial, and Nuclear sectors while shaping the next generation of industry-ready professionals.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:
As a Trainer - Fire, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, practical, and theoretical fire training courses. Your key responsibilities include:

Delivering engaging fire safety and firefighting training, including Breathing Apparatus (BA) training, across commercial and offshore programmes.
Developing and maintaining course materials, ensuring they meet current industry standards and regulations.
Conducting assessments and reviews, providing constructive feedback, and supporting learners to achieve outstanding outcomes.
Collaborating with colleagues to ensure effective learning pathways, high retention rates, and quality improvement.
Supporting course development, evaluation, and quality assurance activities to continually enhance training provision.
What We’re Looking For:
Extensive fire service or equivalent experience in BA training, firefighting techniques, and classroom instruction.
A teaching and assessor qualification (or willingness to achieve this within 24 months of appointment).
