This a key leadership role responsible for driving and overseeing the implementation of strategic initiatives that improve Care services and processes, ensuring that EACH services reach all families and communities who need our support. This role blends operational management with change management skills to ensure smooth transitions when adopting new technologies, systems, or practice. As a member of the senior Care leadership team, the role will support the Directorate to lead the transformation and implementation of care new business opportunities and internal business cases, building and forming new partnerships, improving current service provision and developing innovative approaches to service delivery. The role will oversee care development projects enabling delivery of our organisational strategy. Working closely with the care team, and in co-production with stakeholders, including families, ensuring EACH evolves innovative and outstanding services and managing staff as appropriate to project development. The post holder: Will take a facilitative and empowering approach, nurturing creativity and encouraging a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Will provide visible and inspirational leadership to encourage positive engagement with transformation. Lead change management initiatives to support the embedding of transformation deliverables. Will be an active member of the leadership team. Will be the EACH lead for service development, transformation and co-production. Key Working Relationships: Care Directorate Senior Leadership Team. HR & learning team for employee communication and change management support Responsibilities Lead and deliver the hospices strategic transformation agenda aligned with its mission and values. Identify opportunities for innovation in care delivery, technology use, partnership working, and workforce planning. Support the Care Directorate leadership team and clinical leads to prepare budgets, business plans and workforce plans that align with transformation and development plans. Use data, feedback, and benchmarking to monitor the impact and effectiveness of initiatives. Support regulatory and quality assurance compliance in all service changes. Prepare and present relevant proposals and papers to the Board of Trustees, Directorate leadership team, Clinical Governance Committee, Management Executive and other committees, meetings and events as required and chair care strategic development meetings. Collaborate with the development of business cases for new services and expansion of existing services in line with agreed strategic priorities and objectives. Project manage the introduction of new services and service development initiatives as agreed with the Director of Care. Develop project management tools and reporting to ensure the co-ordination of all key Care projects and oversee timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for transformation initiatives, ensuring that goals are met on time and within scope. Develop and implement change management processes that support staff and stakeholder engagement. Work closely with the Head of Performance and Delivery to optimise the use of care and facilities capacity to enable service development. Attend NHSEI and ICB/ICP meetings and events and work with colleagues within the Alliance and ICS, and act as a system partner as required. Be the Care lead to steer the EDI strategy to address care priorities to widen access to services and map out resources required to reduce inequalities in outcomes and overcome barriers in accessing care. Develop a co-production framework for the hospice, including establishing a co-production advisory group enabling family and community voices to shape development.
