About the Role:
We are seeking a full-time Cover Supervisor to join a vibrant and forward-thinking secondary school in Leeds from September 2025. Key Requirements:
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
- A genuine interest in education and working with young people
- Previous experience working with secondary-aged students is desirable

Main Responsibilities:
- Supervising pre-set lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a calm environment
- Keeping students focused and engaged in the lesson material
- Answering student questions using lesson resources and prior knowledge
- Ensuring a safe and respectful classroom environment
- Maintaining discipline in line with school policy
- Supporting students with a range of learning needs
- Building rapport with students and acting as a strong role model
- Reporting any safeguarding concerns immediately
- Liaising with Heads of Department and pastoral teams as required
- Providing brief lesson feedback and student updates
