Summary



An excellent opportunity has become available fora Band7Family and Systemic Psychotherapistto join the Berkshire CAMHS WestSpecialist Community Team (SCT) coveringReading,Wokinghamand Newburylocalities. This role is part-time(0.8wte,4days a week)based atErleghHouse, within the beautiful grounds of theUniversity of Reading, which has free parking.


 The Specialist Community Teams provideassessments, therapeutic interventions, and care coordination for children and young peoplewhoare experiencing moderate to severe complexmental health difficulties. We work asa close and supportive multidisciplinary team and in partnership with other CAMHS teams and external agencies to provide high quality and holistic mental health care to young people.  


 As a newly qualified member of the team, you will be supported through regular clinical and management supervision, as well as receiving support and guidance through the MDT.There will be opportunity to work with families from a range of different social and ethnic backgrounds, of different genders, sexual orientations, and abilities.


The ideal clinician will be thoughtful and reflective, and someone who is a team player. You will bepart of a warm,compassionateand experienced team. There will be asupportive induction, regularsupervisionand plenty of in-house training opportunitiesto develop your skills.


• Provide comprehensive assessments and therapeutic interventionstoyoung people and their families, asappropriate.  

• Provide careco-ordinationfor young people open to theService. 

• Independently manage an appropriately sized caseload. 

• Use supervision effectively. 

• Offer supervision and training to junior colleagues and other agencies asappropriate.  

• Work with colleagues to support theclinical leadership of the team. 

• Work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team and within a multiagency system. 

• Work autonomously within professional guidelines and exercise responsibility for the systematic governance of psychological practice.  

• Contribute to audit, service development and research, asappropriate.

• Maintainowncontinuing professional development and contribute to team professional development initiatives.

• A Clinical registrable qualification. 

• Experience in Children’s Mental Health services.
