We're looking for an experienced and passionate SEND Teacher to join the fantastic team at a School in Essex, starting January 2026. This is a full-time, permanent post in a nurturing, high-performing special school that provides exceptional support for pupils with a range of learning needs.
Cedar Hall supports students with moderate to severe learning difficulties (MLD/SLD), Autism, speech and language needs, and associated social, emotional, and behavioural challenges. As a SEND Teacher here, you'll have the freedom and support to create engaging, differentiated lessons that genuinely meet your pupils' needs.
Whether you're an experienced SEND specialist or a skilled mainstream teacher with the right mindset and a passion for inclusive education, this is a school where your impact will be felt daily - and your growth supported every step of the way.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver lessons tailored to EHCP targets and diverse learner profiles
• Create a positive, safe, and supportive classroom environment
• Work collaboratively with LSAs, therapists, and families to support holistic progress
• Track and evaluate pupil progress and adapt strategies accordingly
• Use a wide range of resources and interventions to personalise learning
• Contribute to the wider life of the school, including community and enrichment activities
• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
• Experience working in a SEND or inclusive setting (mainstream or specialist)
• Excellent differentiation and classroom management skills
• Ability to engage students with a wide range of needs
• A collaborative, creative, and nurturing approach
• A strong belief in inclusive, pupil-centred education
