Salary: £32,010 - £37,626
Hours: 36 per week, 52 weeks
We require a highly motivated Plumber to join our Housing Services team. The Council currently carry out approximately 140,000 repairs, safety checks and maintenance to over 20,000 Council homes in Edinburgh every year. The emergency service provided to our customers is a 24 hour/7 day per week/365 day a year service.
The Plumber is responsible through the Team Coordinator, for delivering the Plumbing repairs and maintenance services in maintaining the Council's Housing and Non-Housing property portfolio.
- You will be expected to carry out the duties of a competent Plumber, take instructions and undertake allocated work from all levels of management.
- You must have satisfactorily completed a recognised apprenticeship in Plumbing to SVQ 3 Level or equivalent.
- Have a high level of health and safety awareness.
- Working Knowledge of relevant statutory regulations, standards, and codes of practice.
- Good communicator with good customer care skills.
- Hold a full clean driving licence is essential.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
