Summary

East Lindsey District Councils Housing team have an opportunity available on a full time, 2-year fixed term contract. We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with strong resilience who has a caring approach to others.



You would be assisting the Accommodation Team Leader to manage temporary accommodation for households who are homeless. Managing temporary accommodation will often present challenges and you will assist the Accommodation Team Leader to overcome such challenges!



This role provides oversight of the council’s temporary and resettlement accommodation arrangements including facilitating clients moving into and out of accommodation, completing property inspections and also the preparation of temporary accommodation ensuring they are ready for tenants to move into. Preparation duties could include but not limited too; minor repairs, use of power and hand tools.



You will provide advice and assistant to occupants and liaise with statutory agencies to promote and safeguard the welfare of clients in temporary accommodation. Part of this role is to respond appropriately to complaints, problems and anti-social behaviour so key traits we are looking for in someone are composure, resilience, assertiveness and show empathy when required.



What we need from you:

Excellent communication skills
Be a strong negotiator
Enjoy problem solving skills to find solutions for those facing housing problems
Competent with Microsoft Office products, be organised and methodical to manage a complex caseload.
Current driving licence
