Have you got a passion for providing healthy and nutritional food for young children?

At Small Talk Nurseries Wolverhampton, we have a brilliant opportunity available for a part time (15 hours per week) Nursery Cook to work Monday – Friday.

You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment, allowing you to prepare and cook fresh, healthy and highly nutritional meals for children aged between 6 weeks – 5 years. The successful candidate must be able to meet the following criteria:

- Hold a current Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate

- Ideally have an awareness of OFSTED guidelines

- Follow the required menus of the company

- Communicate any relevant information required to follow the food and drink policy and health and safety procedures with all members of staff

- Use the administration process appropriately to enable policies and procedures to be followed accurately

- Ensure the legal aspects of health and safety are followed in line with company’s policies and procedures

- Undertake any relevant training, and when required, to train other members of the catering team

- Ensure specific dietary requirements are met

- Regulate kitchen stock control

The post is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure and 2 valid up to date references.
