Nottingham University Hospitals (NUH) is thrilled to announce the introduction of providing nursing care within our Transitional Care Service, spanning both the Queen's Medical Centre (QMC) and Nottingham City Hospital campuses. We are looking for enthusiastic and compassionate Band 5 Neonatal Transitional Care Nurses to join us on this exciting journey, shaping the future of care for babies and their families.

Working within the maternity and neonatal services at Nottingham University Hospitals (NUH) offers an unparalleled opportunity to be part of one of the UK’s largest and most respected teaching hospital trusts, known for its dedication to excellence and innovation in care. Our evolving Neonatal Transitional Care Unit is at the forefront of providing family-centred care, supporting the family to be the primary care givers, keeping families together, bridging the gap between intensive neonatal support and home. This project offers an incredible opportunity to:

• NMC Registration (Adult or Children’s Nurse)
• Experience in neonatal care (further training will be provided)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Competent in giving IV medications
• Competent, or willing to gain competence, to take peripheral blood samples
• Experience of supervising non-registered staff
• Commitment to delivering high-quality, family-centred care
• Excel in prioritising and delegating workload
• Able to manage a caseload of patients
• Enthusiastic
• Motivated
