My client is looking for an Electrical or Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to be based in London. The successful candidates will be Electrical or Mechanical biased with a proven track record in commercial building maintenance, working with the maintenance team on site.
Locations:
- Elephant & Castle
- Peckham
- Stratford
- Wimbledon
Key duties depending on experience:
Electrical duties:
- Lighting – lamp changes, ballast changes, simmtronic/Phillips lighting
- Emergency light testing
- Power distribution
- Electrical fault-finding
- Small works – new sockets, new lights, new circuits
- PAT Testing
- Control Panel maintenance
- Transformers
- Star Delta Starters
Mechanical duties:
- Fire alarm testing and sprinkler testing
- AHU's/FCU's – filter changes, belt changes, actuator changes, coil cleans
- Pumps – PPM's or strip downs (replacing seals, bearings, valves, overhauls)
- Motors – PPM's (re-winds, overhauls)
- Water treatment – dipslides, pH & temperature testing, chlorination, chemical dosing
- Water pressurization units
- Chlorifiers – annual inspection, descaling
- Steam Plant
- Condensers, Condenser Returns
- Cooling towers
- Softeners
- Humidifiers
- Hydraulics
- Pneumatics
- Boilers – re-sets
- Chillers – re-sets, 1st Line faults
- Plumbing (Unblocking toilets, changing taps etc)
- HIU's
Hours of work
- Temporary to permanent
- Monday - Friday
- 08:00am - 17:00pm
- Up to £24 per hour
Electrical requirements:
- Electrical qualified level 2&3 (C&G, NVQ etc)
- 18th Edition
- Experience working in a bank / commercial Office
- You must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates (Essential)
- A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
- Multi-skilled
- Good communication skills
- Excellent customer skills
- Must have experience with Cooling Towers
Mechanical requirements:
- City & Guilds / NVQ in Mechanical
- You must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates (Essential)
- A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
- An understanding of the following is essential: L8 Water treatment, Pumps, Air Handling units
- Multi-skilled
- Good communication skills
- Excellent customer skills
- Must have experience with Cooling Towers
