At MSV Housing we’re committed to making sure our customers have good quality safe homes, and our Later Living Income Officer are key to making this happen.



We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual to join our established team. Reporting to our Later Living Lead, our Later Living Income Officer support efforts to maximize income within the Later Living Service by supporting customers with benefits advice, promoting the Later Living Offer, and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders including local authorities and internal departments. As well as supporting Scheme Coordinators with income collection, providing necessary training, and assisting the service lead in achieving arrears reduction targets.



In addition, we are looking for candidates that have a passion to advocate on behalf of people and communities.





What do our Later Living Income Officer’s do;

Monitor and manage rental income, follow arrears and recharge policies, and ensure accurate weekly updates in Orchard with clear notes on arrears actions.
Adhere to former tenant arrears policies and take appropriate actions from Notice of Seeking Possession (NOSP) to court proceedings for high arrears cases.
Lead on ensuring scheme coordinators follow arrears processes through regular audits and support.
Prepare weekly arrears reports for the Later Living Lead and income performance data for the Neighbourhood and Wellbeing Committee.
Manage and maintain positive relationships with Housing Benefit and Council Tax departments, including completing and managing claims as needed.




What we are looking for;

Good standard of general education.
Welfare Benefit knowledge/training.
Experience of managing a housing management system and maintaining accurate records relating to housing management.
Knowledge of housing management duties- mainly around rent arrears with some knowledge of housing management areas.
Experience of working in a busy environment offering a direct service to both customers and colleagues.
Experience of making court applications and managing rent arrears in a service.
Full driving licence and willing to travel across the Northwest.
