At MSV Housing we’re committed to making sure our customers have good quality safe homes and our Hoarding Lead is key to making this happen.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual to join our established team. Reporting to our Wellbeing & Tenancy Sustainment Manager, our Hoarding Lead will provide one-to-one support to individuals in their homes, helping them build trust and address hoarding concerns, particularly those experiencing mental health issues.

What do our Hoarding Officer do;

Identify immediate safety needs and implement safeguarding practices in line with local authority protocols for vulnerable adults and children.

Conduct needs and risk assessments, develop support plans, and help customers set and work towards SMART personal goals.

Build trust with customers experiencing hoarding, support de-cluttering efforts, and explore underlying causes of hoarding behaviour.

Liaise with colleagues, partner agencies, and families; refer customers to specialist services and ensure coordinated support for best outcomes.

Maintain accurate records, manage workload effectively, adhere to GDPR and legal procedures, and ensure respectful, confidential, and responsive service delivery.

What we are looking for;

Good standard of Education equivalent to 5 GCSE’s

Experience of working with customers with Mental Health and vulnerabilities

Experience of successful working with External agencies

Understanding of Best Practice in Enforcement, Compliance and Safeguarding

Customer focussed and a desire to provide services to a high standard

Full driving licence and willing to travel across the Northwest

A criminal conviction does not necessarily stop you from working with us. All decisions regarding convictions will be made on a case-by-case basis. Further detail on our commitment to safeguarding young people can be found in our Safeguarding policy attached alongside this vacancy’s candidate pack.
