About the Role
Are you a dynamic warehouse professional with Food Manufacturing or FMCG experience? Ready to thrive in a high-octane, fast-paced environment?
As a Chilled Warehouse Team Leader, you will oversee daily operations in our chilled warehouse, ensuring accurate receiving, picking, packing, and dispatch of chilled dairy products. You will lead and motivate a team of warehouse operatives, maintaining high standards of efficiency, health and safety, and product quality. This hands-on role involves coordinating stock movements, managing manual handling tasks, and meeting tight deadlines in a fast-moving logistics and distribution setting.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead, supervise, and motivate warehouse operatives to achieve operational targets
- Manage stock movements, ensuring product codes match picking tickets
- Oversee safe and efficient loading and unloading of delivery vehicles
- Ensure safe manual handling procedures are followed at all times
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised chilled warehouse environment
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards
- Provide training, coaching, and support to team members
- Cover for the Warehouse Supervisor as required
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in a busy warehouse environment - ideally in food manufacturing, FMCG, chilled distribution, or logistics
- Strong leadership and communication skills with a solutions-focused approach
- Ability to thrive under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
- Flexibility to work different shifts, including early starts from 06:00
- Knowledge of safe working practices and strong attention to detail
- Ideally a current Counterbalance Forklift Licence or Powered Pallet Truck (PPT) licence - training available for suitable candidates
- Level 2 Food Safety
- Level 2 HACCP
- Level 2 COSHH
