- Supervise and manage classrooms in the absence of the regular teacher
- Follow lesson plans and ensure that students are engaged in meaningful learning activities
- Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Provide support to students with special education needs
- Assist students with their assignments and provide guidance when necessary
- Foster a safe and respectful classroom environment
- Manage student behavior and implement disciplinary measures when necessary
- Collaborate with other staff members to support student development
Requirements
- Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to effectively tutor and mentor students
- Knowledge of special education practices and strategies
- Ability to work with individuals on the autism spectrum
- Creative writing skills to engage students in learning activities
- Ability to adapt to different teaching styles and approaches
- Flexibility to work with different age groups and subjects
A fully Enhanced DBS and References will also be required
