An opportunity is available to join the Security Team located at the Metropolitan Cathedral, Liverpool.
This is a permanent, full-time role (35 hours per week), operating on a two-week Rota that includes daytime, evening and weekend shifts:
Week 1 - Monday, Tuesday - ON; Wednesday, Thursday, Friday - OFF; Saturday, Sunday - ON
Week 2 - Monday, Tuesday - OFF; Wednesday, Thursday, Friday - ON; Saturday, Sunday - OFF
Salary: £22,932 per annum.
Benefits: 5 weeks holiday plus bank holidays (pro-rata) and access to a pension scheme. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining an effective security presence across
the Cathedral, the Crypt and the surrounding grounds. Responsibilities include safeguarding the building and its artefacts, responding to security and safety concerns raised by clergy, staff or visitors and reporting any incidents or risks to the Dean of the Cathedral.
Applicants should have;
-Previous experience as a Security Officer
-Working knowledge of public safety, security operations and procedures
-Basic knowledge of health and safety and fire prevention
-Strong interpersonal skills
-Proven ability to diffuse conflict situations
-Possession of a valid SIA license and/or CCTV license (desirable)
