Summary
The post is fixed term for a year to provide parental leave cover and is based at Charing Cross Neurorehabilitation Unit (CNRU).CNRU is an award winning innovative 15 bedded level 2B Specialist Rehabilitation Unit with an additional 4 beds (virtual beds) in the community under the Specialist Neuro-Rehabilitation Outreach Service (SNROS). CNRU admits patients with a range of neurological conditions and serves 8 boroughs in North West London.
Through a new initiative by NHSE in partnership with NW London ICS, CNRU now has four of the beds as Rapid Access to Acute Rehab (RAAR) beds.The appointee will join a team of consultants – Rehabilitation Medicine, Neurology and Neuro-psychiatry as part of a friendly and reputable service that works across Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust to provide intensive level 2 neurological rehabilitation.
The post holder will be the lead consultant for Charing Cross Neurological Rehabilitation Unit.
The postholder will be the lead consultant for Neuro-rehabilitation. They will be responsible for the acceptance of suitable patients to the unit and the day to day management of the patients on CNRU in conjunction with the therapy team and neurology and psychiatry colleagues.
