Lecturer in A Level Media Studies
21.6 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
£33,550 - £40,073 per annum pro rata
Media Studies A Level is a well established subject at City College Norwich with a good recent history of achievement and success and progression for the students. The successful applicant would be expected to take part in the organisaton and delivery of Media Studies coursework and visits as well as course lead on this subject. Students can combine this subject with any of our other 21 subjects creating a broad and varied student body.
Participating in promotional events such as open evenings and taster days and liaising with stakeholders, including parent evenings are also key functions of the role. The successful applicant would be expected to plan and deliver both practical and theory based sessions, showing an understanding of how the industry works.
Combined with Paston College, City College Norwich, is one of the largest providers of A Levels for Norfolk Students. As a College we are required to undertake various Safer Recruitment checks as set out within the guidance from the Department for Education Keeping Child Safe in Education. We require all staff to undertake an enhanced Adult and Child Workforce DBS Check and to register with the DBS Update Service. Please note: From 28 November 2020 the government implemented changes to the filtering rules, and we have been instructed that we cannot accept any update service checks on DBS certificates that have been issued before this date. Therefore, a new one must be completed with City College Norwich.
