About the RoleWe are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Year 1 Class Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school nestled in the beautiful Forest of Dean. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire young learners in a nurturing and creative environment.
As a Year 1 teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum.
- Foster a positive, supportive classroom culture that encourages curiosity and confidence.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community.
- Uphold high standards of safeguarding and child welfare.
What We're Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- A nurturing, creative, and reflective approach to teaching.
- A commitment to continuous professional development.
