Summary
ZETEC Recruitment is partnering with a respected UK machinery manufacturer to appoint a Field Service Engineer. This is a diverse, hands-on role suited to an experienced engineer who thrives in a customer-facing environment and enjoys travel across the UK and Ireland.
Role Overview
As Field Service Engineer, you’ll install, service, and maintain equipment at client sites, delivering responsive, high-quality technical support that reflects the company’s commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Install, commission, and repair machinery and associated equipment.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical and basic electrical faults during breakdowns.
Conduct inspections and produce detailed service reports.
Identify opportunities to optimise equipment performance and user efficiency.
Work across UK and Ireland sites, with occasional overnight stays and weekend requirements.
What We’re Looking For
Full UK driving licence.
Solid mechanical engineering foundation.
Basic electrical competence.
Skills in welding, fitting, and fabrication.
Strong communicator with a proactive, independent approach.
Flexible attitude to travel and working hours.
As the face of the company in the field, you’ll play a pivotal role in maintaining customer satisfaction and supporting long-term service relationships.
