Summary
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and capable individual with high standards of communication and a positive work attitude. You must be of smart appearance, polite manner and possess excellent customer service skills.
We are looking to recruit a full time experienced Portering Supervisor to work a four week rota including nights and weekends.
You will be responsible for supporting service improvements and encouraging the delivery of high productivity; supported by excellent customer care.
You will be able to work on your own initiative and under direction, whilst maintaining confidentiality and discretion at all times. The ability to prioritise your own workload and multi-task, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
In this role you will be required to provide a customer focused Porter service.

Some supervisory experience is also essential for this role.
The role of a Porter Supervisor is instrumental to the smooth running of the Hospital by working with the portering team and ensuring all task are completed timely and safely.
You will be responsible in supervising a team of porters but will also be allocated daily tasks.
The role requires the individual to be supportive to your team and have great interaction with patients and other supervisors too.
There will be a requirement for you to be able to input data onto spreadsheets, use email and systems.
You will also move patients, deliver patient meals and manage safe movement of other medical equipment.
Porters should have the ability to work quickly and calmly in emergencies, have good interpersonal skills with the ability to listen and empathise, be patient and tolerant, a good physical fitness and have the ability follow instructions and work to tight time constraints.
