We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Unit Manager to oversee a 30-bedded EMI Nursing Unit. This is an excellent opportunity for an RMN (Registered Mental Health Nurse) or RGN (Registered General Nurse) with a passion for elderly care and mental health nursing.
Salary: £22 per hour
Location: Manchester
Unit: 30-bedded EMI Nursing Unit (Elderly Mental Infirm)
Specialism: Dementia & Mental Health Care
Hours: 30 hours per week (including 18 hours Supernumerary)

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Management: Oversee and lead a dedicated team within a 30-bedded EMI nursing unit, ensuring high standards of care for elderly residents.
Care Plans: Develop and implement person-centered, individualized care plans for residents with dementia and mental health needs.
Unit Operations: Manage day-to-day unit operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, audits, and staffing.
Mentorship & Training: Provide ongoing support and training to nursing staff to improve clinical practice and deliver the highest level of care.
Essential Requirements
Qualifications: RMN (Registered Mental Health Nurse) or RGN (Registered General Nurse) with significant mental health experience.
Experience: Proven experience in an EMI nursing unit or in dementia and mental health care for elderly residents.
Leadership Skills: Strong leadership experience with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
Passion for Elderly Care: A strong desire to provide person-centered care and improve the lives of elderly residents.
Skills & Competencies
Leadership: Ability to lead and inspire nursing staff.
Communication: Strong communication skills for liaising with staff, families, and regulatory bodies.
Operational Expertise: Experienced in managing daily unit operations and meeting compliance standards.
