Female Support Worker for Energetic Young Woman in Daventry*

£14/hour | Day & Night Shifts Available | Daventry

Are you a proactive and compassionate Female Support Worker looking for a rewarding role? We're seeking dedicated individuals to join our team, supporting a vibrant 21-year-old woman with a bubbly personality in Daventry. She loves getting her hair, make-up, and nails done and enjoys going out and doing fun things!

The Role

We're looking for individuals to work 12-hour shifts on a one-to-one basis. We have the following shifts available:

  • Wednesday Day

  • Thursday Night

  • Saturday Night

  • Sunday Night

Drivers are essential for Wednesday and Saturday shifts.

About Our Client

Our client has Athetoid Cerebral Palsy, which causes involuntary muscle movements. She uses a wheelchair and requires assistance with manual handling. She also has a gastrostomy tube (Mickey button) for all her food, fluids, and medication. While she may have some difficulty communicating, with time and patience, you'll learn to understand her well.

She also has a diagnosis of PTSD, which can sometimes lead to anxiety that may prolong transfers and cause involuntary spasms. During night shifts, the carer will need to remain awake to monitor her and offer reassurance if she wakes. Her medications include Mirtazapine (regular) and Diazepam (PRN).

We're looking for someone who is proactive and keen to engage in fun activities with our client!

What We're Looking For

  • A proactive, engaging, and empathetic Female Support Worker.

  • Minimum of 6 months experience in a care setting.

  • Experience in high-dependency care, particularly with gastrostomy care and manual handling.

  • Ability to manage challenging care scenarios and provide reassurance.

  • Excellent communication skills and patience to understand our client's needs.

  • Drivers required for Wednesday and Saturday shifts.

  • A commitment to maintaining accurate records and upholding safeguarding principles.

This post is exempt under the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1; therefore, a female applicant is required.

Ready to Make a Difference?

This role offers an immediate start for the right candidates. Please note: we are unable to offer sponsorships for this position.

If you're passionate about providing person-centred care and want to join a supportive environment, we'd love to hear from you!
