Hourly Rate £12.21 per hour rising to £12.45 after successful completion of probation, dependant on role.

If you’re outgoing, friendly and passionate about people, you could make a real positive difference as a Support Worker, Senior Support Worker or Team Leader in the Alina Homecare Disability Support Team in Portland, Dorset.

You’ll be supporting people with learning disabilities, autism and mental health to lead meaningful and fulfilling lives within their community.

You’ll be…

Encouraging – promote independence where possible & encourage service users to achieve personal goals
Supportive – provide support to ensure the safety & wellbeing of people relying on our services
Compassionate – communicate well with service users using their chosen methods to support individuality
Observant – monitor & report any changes in health or circumstances of a service user to management
Engaging – support service users to engage in the local community from going shopping to attending events

You’ll need…

· Good understanding of working with individuals with a learning disability and autism

· Commitment to providing quality care and support

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills

· Patience, compassion and a motivational attitude at all times

· A responsible, dedicated and flexible approach to work

· Competent IT knowledge and computer skills
