Description
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Park Warden - Facilities & Environment to join our team in preserving the natural beauty and ecological integrity of our parks and recreational areas. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining various park facilities while ensuring that the environment is protected and enhanced for current and future generations. As a Park Warden, you will play a crucial role in creating a safe and enjoyable experience for park visitors, educating the public on environmental conservation, and promoting sustainable practices within park operations. Your responsibilities will involve overseeing facility maintenance, conducting environmental assessments, and collaborating with local communities and stakeholders to foster a strong partnership in environmental stewardship. You will also be instrumental in implementing park programs and initiatives that promote ecological awareness and engage the community in conservation efforts. Responsibilities
Manage the maintenance of park facilities and structures to ensure safety and usability.
Conduct regular inspections of park premises and grounds to identify maintenance needs and environmental concerns.
Implement environmental protection measures to preserve local wildlife habitats and ecosystems.
Educate park visitors on the importance of conservation practices and responsible park usage.
Coordinate and oversee conservation projects and volunteer initiatives within the park.
Collaborate with local organizations and agencies to develop programs that promote environmental awareness.
Prepare and maintain records, reports, and documentation related to park operations and environmental assessments.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Parks and Recreation Management, or a related field.
Proven experience in park management, environmental conservation, or facility maintenance.
Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, wildlife protection laws, and sustainable practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with the public and community stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong problem-solving skills and the capability to handle emergency situations effectively.
Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and capacity to perform physical tasks related to park maintenance.

Pay Per Hour: £13.47
