We're working with a highly respected provider of therapeutic residential care, looking for a Senior Support Worker to join their dedicated team in a small, child-focused home in Chippenham.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As Senior Support Worker, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the home. You'll lead by example, support junior staff, and help create a safe, supportive, and healing space for children who've experienced trauma.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

At least 1 year's experience in a residential children's home

Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or working towards)

A solid understanding of therapeutic and trauma-informed care
-
Confident leadership and communication skills
-
A caring, patient, and resilient approach
-
Full UK Driving Licence
-
Enhanced DBS and suitable references
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Support the team in delivering high-quality, consistent care

Help implement care plans and behaviour support strategies
-
Act as a role model for therapeutic practice and positive routines

Encourage young people's emotional and social development

Assist with rota planning, team development, and safeguarding
-
Contribute to maintaining compliance with care standards
