Do you have experience in children's residential care and want to grow your career in a therapeutic, nurturing environment? We're working with a highly respected provider of therapeutic residential care, looking for a Senior Support Worker to join their dedicated team in a small, child-focused home in Chippenham.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As Senior Support Worker, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the home. You'll lead by example, support junior staff, and help create a safe, supportive, and healing space for children who've experienced trauma.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • At least 1 year's experience in a residential children's home

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or working towards)

  • A solid understanding of therapeutic and trauma-informed care

  • Confident leadership and communication skills

  • A caring, patient, and resilient approach

  • Full UK Driving Licence

  • Enhanced DBS and suitable references

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the team in delivering high-quality, consistent care

  • Help implement care plans and behaviour support strategies

  • Act as a role model for therapeutic practice and positive routines

  • Encourage young people's emotional and social development

  • Assist with rota planning, team development, and safeguarding

  • Contribute to maintaining compliance with care standards
