We are working with a leading FMCG manufacturer in Bicester who is looking for an automation/controls engineer to join their team. This role will be key to the development and growth on the site and help aid CI projects on their current processes.
Key Responsibilities:

Program, maintain, and optimise PLCs
-
Develop and troubleshoot industrial robot programs
-
CI - Improve cycle times, reduce waste, and boost system reliability through program updates.

Lead automation improvement projects to enhance efficiency and reduce manual intervention.

Fault diagnosis and troubleshooting

Create and maintain technical documentation (SOPs, schematics)

Train production and maintenance staff on automation
-
Ensure compliance with safety regulations
Requirements:
-
Experience in automation engineering across manufacturing or industrial environments.

Experience in PLC and/or robotic programming
-
Strong electrical systems knowledge.
-
Proven track record of process improvement and technical support.
-
Competent in producing and managing technical documentation.
