Join HMS, part of the Torus Group, as a Greenspace Operative and help us maintain and enhance the environments our customers live

What you’ll be doing:
As a Greenspace Operative, you’ll be part of a dynamic, multi-skilled team responsible for delivering a first-class grounds and
environmental maintenance service. Your key tasks will include:
* Grass cutting, pruning, strimming, weeding, spraying, and general horticultural duties
* Environmental cleaning and waste removal
* Winter gritting, tree removal, landscaping and planting
* Supporting other trades and contributing to a "right first time" service
* Using company tools and vehicles responsibly to complete jobs safely and efficiently
* You’ll be expected to plan your work effectively, maintain excellent communication with colleagues and customers, and ensure
all tasks meet safety and quality standards.
What we’re looking for:
* NVQ Level 2 in Horticulture or a related discipline
* PA1/PA6 Spraying Certificate
* Willingness to support apprentices and junior staff
* Experience in arboriculture or assisting skilled trades
* Full UK or EU driving licence
* Experience in horticulture, grounds maintenance or landscaping
* Good communication skills and a strong customer focus
* Ability to work independently, with initiative, and under minimal supervision
* Flexible and proactive approach to work
Interview Process:
* Candidates will undergo in-person interviews, consisting of a competency-based interview and presentation.
Additional Information:
Each successful applicant will be required to complete the following pre-employment checks prior to a start date being agreed:
* Right to work verification
* Qualification certificate check
* 2x Completed references
* OH Health Questionnaire – Fit for Work
* DBS check (if required for role)
* Completion of all new starter documentation including signed T&C’s
