Crynodeb
Reception, recording and preparation of patient samples. To sort and identify specimens received in the Laboratory To enter patients details and sample data onto the computer To process and culture clinical samples according to specimen type and clinical details To assist the Biomedical Scientists by preparation of slides for examination and other technical duties as required under supervision of the Biomedical Scientists General clerical duties associated with the work of the Laboratory, including filing, telephone answering, photocopying etc. To unpack deliveries of culture media and monitor stocks of culture media on a day to day basis for use in the department. Safe disposal of clinical waste for the department and operation of the laboratory autoclave after appropriate training Perform other miscellaneous and technical duties under supervision and according to protocols laid down.
