Burford Primary and Nursery School is seeking to appoint a Level 3 Pastoral Assistant who is dedicated, flexible, and nurturing to join our supportive and ambitious team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a meaningful impact on children’s wellbeing, social development, and academic success.
In this role, you will:
Support children’s wellbeing, learning, and development both in and out of the classroom.
Recognise and respond to emotional and behavioural needs, modelling patience, care, and professionalism.
Use empathy and active listening to build strong, trusted relationships with children and families.
Work with pupils to identify barriers and deliver one-to-one and small group interventions to support behaviour, emotional development, and engagement in school life.
Encourage independence and resilience in pupils, helping them navigate change and challenge.
Promote and reinforce the school’s behaviour expectations, acting as a consistent and positive role model.
Be a visible and proactive presence across the school, supporting positive behaviour and wellbeing.
