Summary
Are you passionate about guiding students beyond secondary education? We are looking to appoint a dedicated and motivated Further Education Vocational Teacher to support learners in a post-16 environment. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in helping young adults succeed academically, professionally, and personally within a dynamic and inclusive setting. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a Further Education Vocational Teacher:
- Deliver vocational courses to post-16 learners in line with national curriculum and industry requirements.
- Plan and teach engaging, practical lessons that build real-world skills, industry knowledge, and employability.
- Prepare students for vocational qualifications and certifications, ensuring strong academic and career outcomes.
- Monitor learner progress through assessments and provide constructive feedback and tailored interventions.
- Contribute to curriculum development, enrichment projects, and professional development opportunities for students.
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages professionalism, independence, and resilience.
Ideal Further Education Vocational Teacher:
- A relevant degree, diploma, or professional qualification in a vocational area (e.g., engineering, business, IT, health & social care, construction).
- A recognised teaching qualification suitable for Further Education, such as a PGCE in FE, CertEd, or equivalent.
- Experience teaching vocational courses within a Further Education setting.
- Strong communication, organisation, and mentoring skills.
- Passion for vocational education and a commitment to helping students build pathways into employment or further study.
