Summary
We are currently working with an ‘Outstanding’ Primary School is located in Orpington who are recruiting for a KS2 class teacher for a long term role.
Our client is seeking a full time enthusiastic, caring and dedicated KS2 Class teacher to work 5 days per week to start in January 2025 to work until the summer holidays. They are looking for someone who has a passion for working with children in an exciting and dynamic environment, where the children are at the heart of everything they do.
This school has a welcoming and supportive staff and friendly, polite and enthusiastic children who enjoy their learning.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish a safe, organised and stimulating environment that fosters curiosity, independence and celebrates pupils’ achievements.
To take responsibility for the progress of all pupils in the class.
Set clear targets for pupils’ learning, building on prior attainment, and ensuring pupils are aware of the substance and purpose of what they are asked to do.
To adhere to all school Safeguarding policies and procedure and to be familiar with and support the aims, ethos and policies of the school.
Work closely with parents and carers for the benefit of the children
Qualifications and Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience teaching within a primary school with a good understanding of the Primary Curriculum.
Strong classroom management skills with the ability to create a positive learning environment and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Have an understanding of Health and Safety and safeguarding requirements
