Summary

Job Advert

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Association of Colleges (AoC) as a Research Officer. AoC is the national voice for
further education colleges in England, representing almost 95% of the sector and supporting over 2.2 million students every year.
As a not-for-profit organisation established by colleges, for colleges, we are committed to transforming lives through education,
skills and opportunity.

We are seeking a Research Officer passionate about data who is keen to establish themselves in an area where their work can truly
make a difference. You will provide data analysis and other relevant support to the research, policy, communications and public
affairs functions of AoC. This is a dynamic and rewarding role that sits within the Communications, Media, Marketing and Research
team, with opportunities to contribute across a wide range of high-profile projects and initiatives.

We’re looking for someone with experience in both quantitative and qualitative data cleaning and analysis, including the use of
data analysis software and data cleaning processes. You should have experience setting up and running surveys, and ideally be
familiar with qualitative research methods. The role requires strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to
draw out key data points and present them clearly, accurately and creatively for a range of audiences. You’ll be confident
handling data, interpreting findings, and using visualisation tools to bring insights to life. A background or interest in further
education or the public sector is an advantage, but not essential.

If you're a driven research professional looking to make a difference in a values-led organisation, we’d love to hear from you.

At AoC, we value trust, flexibility and professional growth. You’ll join a high-performing, mission-led organisation that offers
generous benefits, flexible working, and opportunities to develop your career while making a positive impact on the FE community.
