Crynodeb
As a CSN you will work alongside the SCPHN school nurses taking the lead in delivering specific elements of the Healthy Child Programme 5-19 years, which will include providing support and training to school staff on the management of common medical conditions at face to face and virtual sessions. You will facilitate nocturnal enuresis clinics and work with the School Nurse to deliver targeted support to children, young people and their families, where there is an identified health need. Under taking health assessments in school and supporting the coordination of health care plans, using evidenced-based practice. In addition you will be expected to support and oversee the School Health Screeners in the delivery of the National Childhood Measurement Programme and the School Entry Screening. This role involves working in partnership with children, young people, their families and wider multi-agency teams and establishing effective working relationships with members of the Primary Health Care Team, Family Hubs, Health Visitors, allied professionals and voluntary agencies to achieve best health and wellbeing outcomes for families and children. You will be expected to attend staff meetings and participate in supervision, the annual review process, statutory and mandatory training, as required. You will also provide leadership and act as a positive role model by supporting colleagues and demonstrating excellent standards of care.
