Summary

We're looking for a Technology Project Manager to join our Transportation team, supporting the A417 Missing Link Road scheme in Gloucester. In this role, you'll be responsible for overseeing and supporting the delivery of technology installations across both local and major infrastructure projects. You'll provide technical guidance, manage delivery activities, and serve as the subject matter expert for Technology within the organisation. In addition to the A417 you may also be require to assist on other schemes/projects as requested by your line manager. Please note, a full UK driving licence is essential due to the requirement for site visits.

Location: Gloucester - travel to the office required with remote working available

Hours: Permanent Fulltime - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us

Salary: £55,000 - £62,000 per year + £6,700 annual car allowance + private healthcare + benefits



What will you be responsible for?

As a Project Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing the planning, delivery, testing, and commissioning of highways technology equipment in line with the approved design. You'll support the development of procurement strategies, proactively identify and resolve project issues, and manage the successful handover of technology assets into maintenance ensuring all necessary PCF documentation is completed as required.



Your day to day will include:

-Provide specialist support and knowledge throughout scheme delivery, including attending meetings and preparing reports as needed

-Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements under CDM regulations, consulting relevant team members and utilizing risk assessments

-Manage project budgets and provide regular progress updates to the Operations Manager

-Manage day-to-day site activities for technology equipment installation

-Maintain knowledge of installation, testing, and commissioning of highways technology and associated infrastructure, including CCTV, MIDAS, message signs, signals, SVD, NTIS, ERTs, and electrical systems/interfaces



What are we looking for?

This role of Project Manager is great if you have:

-Degree or equivalent in a technology-focused engineering discipline (e.g., communications, electronic/electrical engineering) or relevant highways & traffic technology experience

-Knowledge of Highways England standards and procedures

-Experience with highways technology assets including ITS, SCADA, CCTV, MIDAS, VMS, SVD, ERTs, Signals, roadside equipment, power supplies, Traffic Signals, communications networks, NRTS, and RCC equipment
