Brightwork have an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR Business Partner to join our client, a public sector organisation on a hybrid working basis at their office in mid-Argyll.

This is an ongoing temporary contract until March 2026 with view of extension.

Working Monday to Friday with core business hours the successful candidate will assist the Senior HR Business Partner, deputising as required, to deliver high quality HR Business Partnering services to the organisation.


Duties will include:

- Assist the Senior HR Business Partner to manage related budgets by ensuring that any expenditure is appropriate, within allocated budget limits at all times and that accurate financial records are maintained

- Support designated services to achieve their performance objectives by acting as internal consultant providing and coordinating appropriate HR and OD support and advice

- Lead and manage the roll out of corporate \ organizational change projects

- Contribute to the development, review and evaluation of HR and OD Policies, procedures and frameworks, taking a lead role where appropriate
- Analyse data and information from various sources to produce complex reports and action plans
- Developing positive partnerships with client groups and key stakeholders

- Support the Senior HR Business Partner to develop, implement and maintain appropriate performance management reporting systems as a means of managing and monitoring the team’s performance

The successful candidate:

- Ability to lead in the development of key HR and OD policies and strategies which support delivery of the strategic aims of the organisation within relevant legislative requirements

- Have experience measuring the impact of HR and OD Polices and projects

- Ideally have experience of working in a unionised environment and taking an active involvement in trade union discussions
- Sound knowledge of employment legislation

Desired Experience:

- Degree or Equivalent vocational qualification in HR/OD or related subject.
- Chartered Membership of CIPD or equivalent.

- Local Government experience or experience in a similarly large and complex organisation
